Hotel Information

The Hudson Inn is the only full-service hotel in Morris, MN. Located off of Highway 28 (only one half-mile from the University of Minnesota, Morris), our hotel is easily-accessible to the surrounding town. We have 86 sleeping rooms, along with a fullsize pool, a hot tub, and a kiddie pool. Within our hotel is a full-service bar-restaurant (Open 3-9 PM, every day), as well as two multi-use conference and events centers.

We offer a variety of room styles, including jacuzzi suites, kitchenettes, handicapaccessible rooms, and single-queen economy rooms. Throughout the hotel, our rooms feature flat-screen TV’s, mini-fridges, microwaves, and free high-speed wireless internet services. We also serve a continental breakfast every morning until 10 AM.

The Hudson Inn has been updated with everything from brand new maintenance equipment to fresh paint. We’ve worked tirelessly to bring this beautiful building back to life.

While we’ve updated countless aspects of the hotel, there are some areas that still need our love. We have made the decision to open our doors while we are still in the process of updating. During this process, we ask for your patience as we continue to make our visions come to life, as well as bringing this beloved space back to the community. We have truly enjoyed being a part of the memories that continue to be made here. Our number one goal is not only to serve our guests but to give back to our wonderful community as well. Hotel Policies and House Rules

We will make every effort to honor special requests upon your arrival. All special requests are noted on reservations and we will do our best to accommodate. However, the availability of these items cannot be guaranteed in advance.

PAYMENT:
All reservations and registrations must be guaranteed with a valid major CREDIT CARD. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Card. We do not accept debit cards. Pursuant to credit card agreements, credit cards are not valid unless signed by the cardholder. Credit cards MUST be signed. Cash payment (USD) is welcomed, with a valid, signed, pre-authorized credit card on file. All guests are REQUIRED to present a valid major credit card and government issued photo identification, even if the guests are planning on paying in cash upon check-out. Checks and foreign currency not accepted.

CHECKS AND CHECK CASHING:
We do not accept checks. We do not provide check cashing services.

CREDIT CARD HOLDERS:
Your credit card is not valid unless signed. We will refuse an unsigned card. Your credit card will be pre-authorized at check-in for the full amount of your stay. The preauthorization will HOLD the funds until check-out, at which time the full amount incurred during your stay will be charged. If you charge your method of payment at check-out, or change the length of your stay, your bank may not post the changes to your account immediately. Hudson Inn has no control over the policies of your bank, and will not be held liable for any “insufficient funds'' penalties or any other resulting fees or charges. It is your responsibility to fully understand the manner in which your bank processes pre-authorizations and charges to your credit card. NOTE: Some banks hold pending authorizations for up to 30 days.

DEPOSITS AND GUARANTEES:
There is no deposit required to make an individual room reservation. However, a major credit card is required at the time of booking to guarantee the room and secure the reservation period.

RESERVATION/PAYMENT FOR GUESTS BY PRIVATE THIRD PARTIES:
Generally, third party payment is not permitted. In the case of paying for a family member (if you will not be physically present at the hotel), we require prior pre- authorization of a major credit-card. You will be responsible for any and all damages and loss. We reserve the right to refuse reservation at any time for any reason.

RATES:
All rates are quoted in United States currency, plus tax. Rates may increase without notice. Rates as advertised on the Hudson Inn website, or any other website or promotional material are subject to change at any time and may increase or decrease at Hotel’s discretion. Rates are based on standard room (1-2 occupancy), king (1-2 occupancy), or king suite (1-4 occupancy), and are subject to availability.

PET POLICIES:
Pets on Hotel property are only allowed if accompanied by the Pet’s Owner if they are a Hotel Guest. Hotel Guest’s who will be having a pet with them during their stay will be charged a $20 pet rent fee, per pet, per night. All pets must be leashed if they are being taken outside the Hotel Room. Damage that has been done by Pets during Guest’s stay will be charged at least a $250.00 cleaning fee. Pets are not allowed to be left alone in the guest room without their human. Pets are NOT allowed in the pool area.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE:
Hudson Inn is privately owned and operated. We reserve the right to reserve service to anyone for any reason(s) that does not violate Federal or State laws. Hudson Inn has a zero tolerance policy in which we will refuse to admit or refuse service or accommodation in our Hotel or may remove a person, without refund, who refuses to abide by the reasonable standards and policies established by the State of Minnesota and the owners for the operation and management of the Hotel. Hudson Inn with refuse service or evict a guest: for refusal or failure to pay for accommodations, is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any other intoxicating substance and acts in a disorderly fashion as to disturb the peace of other guests, is unable to properly supervise their children at all times, seeks to use the Hotel for unlawful purposes; seeks to bring into the Hotel: any unlawfully possessed firearm; or something, including an explosive substance, any hazardous or toxic substance, that may or may not be unlawful to possess and that may be dangerous to other persons; anything that may cause damage, destroys, defaces, or threatens harm to Hotel or Hotel guests in any capacity; causes or permits persons to exceed the maximum allowed occupancy of room, refuses to abide by reasonable Hotel standards or policies established by the Hudson Inn the for the operation and management of our Hotel.

QUIET HOURS:
10:00 PM - 9:00 AM. If you become aware of a disruptive guest, please notify Front Desk staff immediately. You can do so either by your room phone or in person. Televisions, voices, or other devices must be kept at a respectful low level volume at all times. Doors should be opened and closed quietly.

VISITORS:
No Visitors after 10:00 PM. Visitors must notify Front Desk upon their arrival. Visitors must be accompanied by the registered guest at all times. Visitors are not allowed to use guest amenities, including wireless internet. As a registered guest, you are responsible for your visitor at all times.

CANCELLATION:
Guest(s) must notify Front Desk at least 24 hours prior to arrival date if canceling their reservation. Any cancellation requests made less than 24 hours prior to arrival will result in a Late Cancelation Fee.

SMOKING POLICIES:
The Hudson Inn is a 100 % NON-SMOKING FACILITY. Guests are encouraged to notify Front Desk immediately if they smell cigarette, marijuana, or any other objectionable odors. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the Hotel. This policy is not meant to stop people from smoking, but to regulate where people are allowed to smoke on the property, and how it affects others. A designated Smoking Area is provided outside and away from the building. Marijuana is strictly prohibited. Violation of these policies will result in a $250 fine, and guests may be evicted without a refund.

CANDLES, INCENSE, ESSENTIAL OILS:
Candles, incense, and essential oils (diffusing, vaporizing, etc.) are strictly prohibited. These items and activities will be treated as smoking, a fine added, and the guest may be evicted without a refund.

NO COOKING, COOKING APPLIANCES, COMBUSTIBLES/FIREWORKS:
The safety of our guests, staff, and the facility is extremely important to us. Except for the microwave and refrigerator provided in-room by the Hotel, the preparation of food in guest rooms by any type of cooking appliance is strictly prohibited. Not all rooms have a microwave and refrigerator unit. These units are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. We ask that you avoid storing and microwaving any pungent food, as the smell is difficult to remove from fabric. In this case, a cleaning fee may be assessed. A minimum fee of $300 will be charged for cooking in the room, including but not limited to hot plates, toaster ovens, water heaters, rice cookers, combustible, open flame, barbecue grill, burners, heating appliances, or any other item intended for cooking. Open fires, flames, and cooking grills (charcoal or gas), and fireworks are not allowed anywhere on Hotel property.

HOUSEKEEPING/ROOM INSPECTION:
Housekeeping is provided between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Our Hotel is a 100% NON-SMOKING hotel, including medical marijuana. Rooms are cleaned and inspected daily, and a detailed log is maintained on each room and linen. Guests are rented rooms in appropriate condition without any prohibited odor. Housekeeping and Front Desk staff are trained and skilled at identifying the odors from prohibited items. If a room inspection concludes that you have smoked in your room, cooked, or brought in any prohibited items into our facility, you will be fined and may be evicted without a refund.

LINEN CHANGING:
Your comfort is very important to us. To request a stayover service, please inform Front Desk before 9:00 AM on desired day of service. Housekeeping will be happy to change your bed linens, and make your bed for you if all personal items are removed.If the bed is unable to be remade due to personal items remaining on the bed, a note will be left. Housekeeping and Front Desk staff will be happy to provide you with fresh towels and complimentary soaps, coffee for your room. Please contact our Front Desk staff if you have any other questions or concerns.

LOST & FOUND POLICY:
Hudson Inn assumes no liability for lost, misplaced. Stolen, or damaged valuables and belongings. If you discover you have left behind something of value to you, please call us immediately at (320)-589-3030, and we will try to assist you in locating your lost item(s).

FOUND ITEMS:
Hudson Inn assumes no responsibility for any item left behind by a guest. However, any item (with the exception of perishable items) left behind by our guests, and found by our Housekeepers after guest departure, will be collected, logged, and stored in a secure location for collection by the owner for up to 14 days. Reasonable effort will be made to notify the guest that an item has been found. NOTE: Perishable items, underwear, and miscellaneous toiletries are discarded.

RETURN OF LOST ITEMS:
We would be happy to return your lost item(s) to you by the United States Postal Service. Sorry, no UPS or FedEx deliveries. Your credit card will be charged for packing and postage, plus a $10.00 handling fee. A separate receipt will be mailed to you. Hudson Inn is not responsible for any item lost or misdirected during shipment by the United States Postal Service. PLease contact the USPS Customer Service Department at
1-800-275-8777 for assistance regarding your shipped item(s).

UNCLAIMED ITEMS/NO CONTACT:
Lost & Founds items are held for 14 days while we attempt to contact the guest. If guest contact information is incorrect, or the cell phone mailbox is full, and/or we are unable to contact the guest during the 14-day holding period, the unclaim item(s) are thrown away, given to local organizations, or disposed of accordingly by the Hudson Inn.

ALCOHOL POLICY:
Registered guests of legal age who choose to bring their own alcoholic beverages must consume those in their room. Alcohol is not allowed in public areas such as the parking lot, office, the sidewalk between rooms, or the pool area (ALL outside food and beverage is PROHIBITED in our pool area).

FIREARMS AND WEAPONS:
The safety and security of our guests and staff is extremely important to us. Our ‘Firearms and Weapons’ policy is designed for the protection of our guests, vendors, staff, and owners. This policy pertains to the presence of firearms and weapons on Hotel premises. Hudson Inn recognizes that guests and vendors may legally possess firearms or weapons for a variety of legitimate purposes. This policy has been developed to create a safe environment by providing appropriate guidance over the custody of firearms and weapons on our premises. Hudson Inn is private property. Guests who are lawfully permitted to possess a firearm or weapon may bring such onto our Hotel premises for storage purposes only, with the understanding that they are personally responsible for the following:

  • Guests must abide by all Federal, State, and local laws.
  • Firearms and weapons must be appropriately registered.
  • Firearms must be unloaded.
  • No cleaning of firearms is permitted on Hotel premises.
  • Firearms and weapons must be safeguarded and secured in either locked, hard-sided firearm container or a soft gun case always provided by the guest and clearly labeled with their name and contact information.
  • No firearms or weapons in the Hotel office.
  • Damages caused by arrowheads will be charged accordingly, please be careful

Guests and vendors who fail to abide by our policy may be asked to leave the Hotel premises, will be subject to trespass and may be subject to further legal action. Exempted from this policy are law enforcement officers and designated military personnel who are on-duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties. No exemption to this policy is allowed to private persons, even those licensed and permitted to carry a firearm openly, or concealed, under local, state, or federal law. It is our policy to promptly turn over any firearms left on the property to Stevens County Sheriff’s Office if we are unable to contact the owner. BICYCLES/HOVERBOARDS/ROLLER BLADES/HOCKEY STICKS/PUCKS:
Bicycles, hoverboards, roller blades, hockey sticks, and hockey pucks are not permitted in guest rooms. Depending on available spaces, Front Desk staff will be happy to secure these items for you in our mechanical room. We assume no liability for theft, loss, and/or damage, and you waive all such liability.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY OF FIRE:
Please notify the Front Desk in the event of a fire or other emergency. A map that shows the emergency exits can be found on the back of your room door, as well as in the Guest Information Notebook located in each guest room.

FIRE SAFETY POLICY:
The Hotel is fully equipt with smoke detectors, with fire safety information found in the Guest Information Notebook, and emergency evacuation plans on the door of each guest room. Please take the time to review this important information upon your arrival.

NO IN-ROOM PARTIES:
Hudson inn enforces a ‘No In-Room Party’ Policy to ensure we can protect the Hotel and our guests at all times. No parties, loud disturbances, and/or noise-nuisance are allowed or tolerated on these premises. In the event of a disturbance, one polite request (warning) will be given to the guest to reduce the noise. If our request is not followed, the guest(s) will be asked to leave the Hotel premises without a refund. Registered guest(s) assume responsibility for all persons visiting. Non-Registered visitors are only permitted until 10:00 PM. If found with more “people” not listed on the Guest Registration after 10:00 PM, your stay will be considered a party. You will be ordered to vacate the premises without refund and may be charged an additional Guest Compensation Disturbance Fee.

FREE WI-FI ACCESS:
Access to our Wi-Fi is free for our registered guests. The ‘Hudson Inn Guest’ Wi-Fi access code is subject to change without notice (depending on the room’s location, the status of our Wi-Fi equipment, and interference from other local wireless signals). The Hudson Inn assumes no liability for guest use.

ENFORCEMENT:
All staff are trained and required to respond to potential violations of The Hudson Inn Policies and House Rules. Guests who refuse to abide by the reasonable standards and policies established by The Hudson Inn (for the safety of all guests, staff, owners, property, as well as the operation and management of the Hotel) will be evicted, with no refund. In addition to the room charge, a minimum $250.00 cleaning fee per room will be applied for infraction(s) of our Hotel Policies and House Rules.

CHANGES/MODIFICATION TO HOTEL POLICIES/HOUSE RULES/WEBSITE INFORMATION:
The Hudson Inn reserves the right to amend, modify, change, cancel, vary, or add to the set Hotel Policies and House Rules, as well as modify the arrangement and content featured on The Hudson Inn website at any time, without prior notice. Please check our website regularly for any updates regarding our Hotel Policies/House Rules. Any modification to these Hotel Policies/House Rules that occurs before your departure is considered part of your reservation’s agreement with us. A copy of the Hudson Inn Policies and House Rules is located on our website, available in-room in the Guest Room Notebook. And available at the Front Desk upon request.
